Botanical anthurium caring tips

The botanical anthuriums from KARMA are the strongest in their range. These green heroes love water but can also survive well if this is skipped even for a longer period, such as holidays. This makes it the ideal houseplant that requires little care to enjoy for a long time.

The best location |

The botanical anthurium is a tropical houseplant for even the shady places in the house. There is no place in space where it could not grow. They are real powerplants that cannot be beaten. We don’t call them the KARMA Heroes for nothing. Avoid direct sunlight in the summer months and also keep them away from windy spots and do not place them too close to a warm radiator.

Watering |

The botanical anthurium is a simple and easy houseplant to care for. Watering depends on the time of year, location, but also how big the plant is. If the top soil layer is dry, it will like some water, but if it still feels damp, wait a little longer. The WaterWick system is the solution for not giving too much or too little water!

Spraying |

Spray the plant with water once a month. This helps keep the plant healthy. It is especially important to do this in the winter months with the heating on, because the humidity is often on the low side.

Yellow leaf |

With yellow tips on the leaves, the botanical anthurium gets too much sunlight and it is best to move it to a less sunny spot.

Brown leaf |

If your botanical anthurium has brown leaf edges, it is getting too much or too little water. Please note, it is better to water a little more often than to give a whole shoot at once.

Repotting |

If your botanical anthurium grows out of the cultivation pot, you can repot it. Repotting the plant is therefore very important if you want the plant to grow further in height and width. Below we give a few tips that you can best adhere to for a beautiful continued growth of the plant.

  1. Repot in the spring, this is the most growing period.
  2. The new pot should be 20% larger, so not too big or too small.
  3. Use special houseplant potting soil or other universal potting soil for indoor plants.
