Who is Karma

Background

From vegetable cultivation to tropical houseplants

In addition to growing vegetables, Bert also had a "hobby greenhouse" in which he fanatically collected cacti, succulents and other various potted plants. On the weekends, he was always there, and certainly so was Carla, to analyze and optimize the entire growth process of all the plants. In vegetable growing, he could only distinguish himself in the number of pounds of tomatoes and red peppers, which he did well! But to stand out in quality and thus build name recognition as a company became increasingly important to him. When an event occurred, he was given the choice to turn his passion into his work. Together with Carla, he founded the anthurium potted plant company "Karma Plants" in an old greenhouse in Etten-Leur. Since 2006, the company has been located in Bemmel and the next generation has taken over, Maurice and Glenn Langelaan.

The name 'KARMA'

Slamming open an unusual book, almost immediately one's attention was drawn to the word "Karma" that appeared somewhere in the middle of the page. Karma immediately felt right and familiar, which was exactly the name that was right for the company. Karma : Making choices and suffering the consequences of them. Or very aptly at an agricultural business, "what one seeds, one will harvest. Every choice or action the company faces every day, right or wrong, always presents another opportunity. The resulting action evokes a reaction that triggers a moving force throughout the company's development process.
